Q: What does coaching with Goode Athletics include? 

A: Coaching with Goode Athletics includes a training program written specifically for you, tailored to your unique ability and situation, frequent and on-going communication with your coach through our training app Final Surge, and monthly 1-on-1 meetings to take a deeper look at your progress and ensure you’re on the right track towards your goals.

Goode Athletics athletes also receive various exclusive discounts and opportunities with businesses that are partnered with Goode Athletics.

This all-inclusive coaching service is priced at $249/month.

Q: What sort of experience does Goode Athletics have? 

A: Coach Chris has been coaching since 2015 and in that time, has helped high school, collegiate, and adult athletes of all levels achieve success in running. He has also competed in NCAA Division I cross country, and has ~15 years of valuable experience as a runner.

Going from being one of the slowest runners on his high school cross country team to an NCAA Division 1 athlete, Coach Chris has had a rare opportunity to experience both ends of the competitive spectrum.

This unique perspective allows him to understand and relate to athletes who are winning races, as well as athletes who are struggling to get started.

Q: What sort of commitment is required when signing up for coaching? 

A: Goode Athletics recommends first-time clients commit to a minimum of 3 months of coaching. This is to ensure that we take the necessary time to make a measurable impact on their running ability. After the initial 3 months, coaching is on a month-to-month basis.

Q: What sort of things does Goode Athletics coach people for? 

A: Goode Athletics coaches people for races ranging from the mile to the marathon. Coach Chris encourages his athletes to run a variety of races to be well-rounded and better prepared for whatever their goal race is. If you’re someone who isn’t into racing, that’s okay! Goode Athletics also coaches people who run for fulfillment, enjoyment, as well as physical/mental health. 

Q: Is it worth it for a beginner to sign up for coaching?

A: Absolutely! In fact, it’s probably the best time to sign up! 

There’s a lot of information AND misinformation out there.  

Trying to wade through all of it when you’re just starting out can make things much harder than they need to be.

The mission of Goode Athletics isn’t to confuse you with endless terms, things to monitor or metrics to worry about.

The goal is to put you on a simple and consistent path towards improving a runner, building your fitness and your confidence.

Q: Does Goode Athletics offer refunds? 

A: In most circumstances, no.

Q: What do I need to get started?

A: Running shoes, a running watch, a smartphone/laptop to fill out your training log, a desire to be better than where you are now, and a willingness to do the work to get there!
